Utah 1st District Polls

Deseret News and Mason-Dixon each released poll results from all three of Utah's congressional districts today, and all three polls show the incumbent lawmaker leading in their re-election bids for another term in Washington. I have not seen this trend in too many other states.

Utah's 1st congressional district

Republican Congressman Rob Bishop has served four terms in the House, and has been mostly passionate with issues involving education, which is personal for the former high school teacher. He voted against the No Child Left Behindlegislation, and supports school vouchers.

Deseret News Survey:
Rep. Rob Bishop (R) - 66%.
Morgan Bowen (D) - 21%.

Mason-Dixon Survey:
Rep. Rob Bishop (R) - 65%.
Morgan Bowen (D) - 13%.
