Charlie Crist Sells His Soul?

Incredibly, but not surprisingly, Charlie Crist lobbied Democrat Senate Candidate Kendrick Meeks to exit the Florida Senate race. Going so far as to offer his sisters gifted cross as a peace offering of sorts.

Florida independent Senate candidate Charlie Crist personally lobbied Democratic candidate Kendrick Meek to exit the race this week, offering him a cross that had been a gift from his sister, Mr. Meek said Friday.

Mr. Crist, the Florida governor, had called Mr. Meek, a Miami congressman, earlier that morning, about 4:50 a.m., leaving a voice mail asking if they could meet up at the AIPAC gathering. “I’ll call you later this morning and see if we can work out a time to get together just you and me,” Mr. Crist said in the voice mail, which was played for Washington Wire by Mr. Meek. “Take care, buddy.” (Emphasis mine)

So, not only did President Clinton actively try to persuade an honorable Kendrick Meek to drop out the race, but Governor Crist himself offered the sanctity of his family to assuage his political ambitions. Reptilian for some reason comes to mind.

If Charlie Crist had any interest in the betterment of Florida and this Country he would drop our of the race immediately. He won't of course. He has been promised the Senate and he claims to have it?
