Raese Takes Lead in West Virginia.

John Raese, the Republican candidate in West Virginia's upcoming Senatorial election, has now taken a two point lead in the latest Rasmussen survey of 500 likely voters. This comes a day after the Democratic candidate, Governor Joe Manchin, announced his support for repealing parts of ObamaCare, though he was unspecific on which parts.

John Raese - 48%.
Joe Manchin - 46%.
Someone else - 2%.
The undecided - 4%.

To see West Virginia, a Conservative bastion that is still under the thumb of Democratic rule, support a Republican candidate for United States Senate is absolutely unreal. Especially when you take into account the fact that the last elected Republican Senator from the State was in November of 1956. Which, ironically, was also a special election to replace a deceased Democrat.

Any thoughts?
